Health and fitness are two of my life goals and have been for the last 20 years. To that end I have worked with a variety of trainers and coaches with varying degrees of success. I have never worked with someone as skilled, knowledgeable, and just plain fun as Yuri. She challenges me without judging. She supports me not only in her words but also in her willingness to partner with me to reach my goals. She has taught me to be patient and persistent with my body and that goes a long way to still my inner critic. She is funny, smart, and grounded and nothing like the stereotypical trainer. I consider her class to be a gift I give myself.
I have been doing Pilates on and off for 10 years, but it hasn’t been until training with Yuri that I have fallen in love with it so much. Pilates gives me the work out that my body craves. I go at my own pace and feel stronger than ever. Not only has my strength increased, my flexibility has as well. Pilates works. It is as simple as that. I feel blessed to have Yuri, someone so dedicated to her students and so knowledgeable regarding her craft, as my instructor. I am Pilates girl for life.
I am addicted to Pilates. It has been life changing for me. As a former athlete and mom of 3, I was looking for something that would be an entire body work out. Something I could ease my way into. A way to tone up, without bulking up. A way to stretch and focus on each muscle as I worked it. Pilates is much harder than I ever expected, and I can honestly say that it is the most effective workout in comparison to any other “class” or fitness program I have ever tried. The results are astonishing and the way it makes you feel is even better. My flexibility has increased, my core is significantly stronger, and my arms have toned up. Yuri, for me, is the Pilates wizard. She not only is knowledgeable and dedicated to her students- she leads by example. She motivates and goes beyond your typical instructor to make sure your form is proper. She challenges you and pushes you to the best limit possible. I am so happy I decided to start Pilates with Yuri, it will be my forever go-to work out.
When I think back to a year ago I was dreading turning 50. I knew I had to change my exercise routine but didn’t know what to do. I started attending Yuri’s Pilates class. At first, I couldn’t t do a sit-up and certainly not a minute plank. I was embarrassed to attend class. I felt out of shape, overweight and old. This feeling did not last long thanks to Yuri. She has an amazing ability to make everyone feel comfortable in class but still encourage them to continuously challenge themselves. I have attended multiple class with Yuri ranging from Pilates to Boot Camp. She is always looking for new ways to motivate the class and each month she changes up the routine so it never gets boring.Her music selection and personality make a great class even better! Whenever I hear Yuri is teaching a class I make every effort to make it. In the past year, I lost 10 pounds, turned 50 and feel fitter than I did in my 30’s! Thanks Yuri for making this possible.
Yuri Sapia is a truly inspirational and excellent trainer. In the last 10 years of exercising and attending different classes, I have never met such a passionate, skilled and knowledgeable personal trainer as her. As a Registered Dietitian, I understand how complex and different our bodies can be, and what I LOVE about Yuri is her versatility. Yuri has the ability to meet the individual needs of her clients by changing her training method and approach based on their personal goals. She is the perfect combination of professionalism, enthusiasm, creativity and knowledge.
